Technology Screening Panels
Through technology screening panels, regional companies will be updated about new innovations emerging from research centers.
The panels are divided into 3 technology categories:
1. Advanced manufacturing
2. Life sciences/biotechnology/value added agriculture
3. Information solutions
The technology commercialization project team investigates emerging new technologies from universities, government and private research institutions, private industry spin-offs, and other sources. Interns working on the program are creating technology summaries of innovations that appear initially to be of value. These summaries are being reviewed by screening panels consisting of regional technical professionals and decision makers. The purpose of these panels is to investigate the value of the technologies in more detail, and determine whether companies in our region could benefit from knowing about a particular innovation.
